Dutton Fun Day 2008 Could Be The Best Fundraiser in Recent History
Dutton Country Courier
The Dutton Fun Day Chairmen will declare the 2008 Dutton Fun Day celebration a huge success. By all accounts this one could be one of the best as a fundraiser, for a number of years.

Lanny Christman, the car show chairman, reported that they had 85 entries which is a record, and the mud run had over 500 paid attendees according to Pete Kline and Mariah Racine, chairmen.
The food court at times had to scramble to keep up with the orders and the line was long all afternoon, as witnessed by chairmen Greg Suek and Bryan McCulloch, as was the food line at the mud run.
Always a big attraction, the Silent auction, chaired by Peg Doheny drew a large crowd that stayed all afternoon vying for that last bid at 3:30.
Parade chairmen Arnie and Bev Pederson report that enthusiasm was abundant from their perspective.
The fireworks display was well crafted by Tom Furingher as usual and appreciated by all.
Contrary to premature reports of its demise, the mud run will return for at least one more year to assist Dutton in celebration of our 100th anniversary.
Overall the help was great, the volunteers were abundant, many of which have already stepped up for next year, and we are looking forward to starting the next 100 years with more new faces, new ideas, and a new outlook.
Thanks to all who helped make Fun Day the success it was, remember the ones who began Dutton's great celebrations, and we look forward to advancing to next year's activities with the same enthusiasm displayed this year. We will have further updates and particulars as they come to us.
