About the Dutton County Courier
The Dutton Country Courier is a community online newspaper serving the town of Dutton, Montana.
The Dutton Country Courier is produced by the citizens of Dutton with some assistance from the Rural News Network at the University of Montana's School of Journalism. The Rural News Network is made possible through funding from the J-Lab: The Institute for Interactive Journalism. (For more information, read this story about the project or listen to founders Courtney Lowery and Keith Graham talk about RNN and the Dutton Country Courier and meet the students here.)
If you have news to share with the readers of the Dutton Country Courier, send an email to duttoncc@gmail.com or call Courtney Lowery (who acts as the news collector during the summer) at 406-531-4794. We especially welcome wedding announcements (photos please) baby announcements (again, photos too please), letters to the editor and other stories of all kinds.
If you're interested in writing in any capacity, or shooting photos for the Dutton Country Courier, we'd love your help. We're looking for volunteers of all stripes and we're happy to help you in your writing or photographing.
Dutton, part of Montana's "Golden Triangle" in central Montana is primarily an agricultural community surrounded by rolling wheat and barley fields. Dutton, in Teton County, is home to about 375 people, according to 2005 U.S. Census estimates.

To get more vested community participation in your website, you might think about offering different levels of Membership in your placeblogs. One such example of this model can be found at http://InPratt.com. Various forms of advertising (E-billboards) and Sponsor features are also included. It's not perfect by a long shot, but its features may be of interest to you. Good luck with your efforts in Montana.

This Dutton Couty Courier is a great website, especially considering there's only 375 people in the county.
Here in the big city of Toronto, Ontario everything is of a much larger scale. I sometimes miss a small scale community.
Do you also have Spring pictures on Flickr? I am getting kinda cold looking at those snow pictures ;o)
